Monday, February 26, 2007 hey! share w u guys the trip i made to thailand during the cny vacation..and i must say it really was a pretty worthwhile trip. we went 3 places chiangmai, chiangrai and bangkok.. we took domestic flight to chiangmai from bangkok and even the thai domestic flight is better than the stupid tiger airways lar..at least there were peanuts n drinks n good looking steward to help open the peanuts packet for us. haaa.. at chiangmai and chiangrai, we went on a personal 4 person family tour and went to pretty special places..we had a traditional thai dinner, the kind that royal family used to hold for their guests and watched traditonal thai dances. something else worth mentioning is the simon cabaret show we went to.if i dont tell u, u wont even doubt that they are genuine women lar! most of them are really really really really really (ok,i think u guys get my point) chio can!! so jealous. haa.. made me slightly motivated to take better care of myself coz they're guys yet they so desperately want to be woman and im born female yet so lazy to take care of my looks. haa.. we visited lots of royal projects that the thai royal family started for the hill tribes. the aim was to provide them a means to support their own family through working in the gardens and planting coffee, rather than having to resort to planting and selling opium. pink dahlia. we also went to a mynmmar thailand border which has turned into a tourist attraction. it's quite amazing how peaceful it was there. always thought it would be really tense at the border regions.. and we also managed to go to the golden triange, which used to be the area where opium was planted. of coz no more opium lar, but at that point, ure standing on thailand soil, infront of u is mynmmar and to ur right is laos. amazing.. and we visited an opium museum at the golden triangle and saw lots of weights that were used to weigh the opium. this lion one is so cute lar.. at chiangrai, we stayed a night at phu chaisai mountain resort & spa.it's a fantastic place with a great view and it really looks like that kinda mountain resort u always see on brochures in the airports.haa..it was nice to dine and walk among nature and wake up to the cool mountain air. and of coz the mosquitoes love u.haa.. and i so love their toilets! u walk into the toilet, u see the bathtub. to the left is a shower room, the right is the toilet bowl. and 2 sinks. hard to describe lar, but if im rich enough, ill make my own toilet that way. haa.. think the mountain resort is a great place for honeymooners. haa.. if u can manage to book one of its 50 expensive rooms and travel up the mountain to it lar..haa.. and bangkok was just a super crazy shopping wonderland. haa..please drop by the wholesale area to buy ur clothes, it is supersuper cheap. 2 days of psychotic shopping is enough btw, dont push the limit. haa.. i would love to post more photos but my sister n i took a total of 800plus photos plus videos in the 7 days we stayed in thailand. haa..luckily we had a 2gb memory card. haa.. shall end off this post with the beautiful sky..marvel at the beauty of mother nature and appreciate it.. =] Anonymous rocking off at 12:43 AM *** Thursday, February 15, 2007
This is a (PG) picture of my friend's wound. He fell into the drain on the 11th of feb. Coincidentally, it looks like a heart as the days approached v-day. If you don't believe it's a cut, check this out.. The following pic was taken a few days later. Disturbing scenes presented. Love is a temporary madness, it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the desire to mate every second of the day. It is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. It is not lying awake at night imagining that he is kissing every part of your body. No… don’t blush. I am telling you some truths. That is just being ‘in love’, which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two. […] Doesn’t sound very exciting, does it? Trust me, it is." - Louis de Bernières in Corelli’s Mandolin May we keep in the back of our heads, these ideals, and aspire to attain them at some point of our lives.
