hey guys! MAF was on the 10th, sat night. I thought alot of ppl were going!! sadly, i only saw jh, ben ,alex, cons, phyllis, chew yi and zhi han. a few seniors whom i forgot their names, also went too! haha! they even had to lag for a while to remember they were from the 02s73 batch. lol!!

Anyways, MAF this year was.. beautiful.. I felt the councillors did a really good job in the lightings and props. Above us, they had 4 long paper lanterns in a square formation, the traditional kind, filled with light bulbs. Then, surrounding it, were 3 stars made of many light bulbs each, with each star enveloping the smaller one. the 3 stars took turns to blink; it was simply fascinating.

This year's theme was gu4 xiang1, and the signature event of burning the "thing" at the flag poles there in central plaza was a5, i think rattan, lanterns surrounding the words gu xiang in chinese characters, i think also made of rattan or paper or sth. When the whole thing caught fire, the words were in flames and it was so nice to see. Pity i didn't have a camera. (but i think some of us took the pics).

Then, it was followed by the traditional chinese songs and then mass dance. Dick and I went to the 3rd level on the left wing to watch everybody sing and dance. lol! I realised one thing too.. The girls, after going to uni, have become more conscious of their appearance! LOL!! Dick was really enjoying every moment of it lah!! having a birds eye view.. haha..

Sad to say, most of us left after that, including me, cos the next day we have army half marathon, and had to wake up quite early, so we didn't go for supper. Maybe the girls went. haha.. (phyllis and constance pls update!)

About me, I'm now back at Nee Soon camp, suffering in silence (ok maybe not anymore since i've posted this msg :p) My fellow trainees are all living in fear and trepidation every moment there. The instructors are really horrible, and we don't see any purpose or reason in how they tekkan us. eg, they made us do area cleaning for 4 hours till 2 am in the morning, friday night somemore such that we couldn't book out on friday night. The worst thing was that we couldn't move AT ALL during the inspection, which could last as long as one hour. I tried sleeping while standing, cos we were really so tired!! haha.. what an experience.

Ok lah, damn long liao.. to those that are going overseas (th, xun anymore??) pls take care of yourselves.. Don't, seriously, don't party too much and get drunk and stuff, and into trouble. Yup, till next time,

Sincerely,
Liang Jun
